I received delivery of the top box and bracket the day after ordering it and have fitted it to the bike. Generally, I am pleased with the purchase but did find a couple of steps in fitting it difficult. I have a couple of suggestions that would make it much easier to install and use if, like me, you don't plan to leave it on the bike permanently.
The first is the metal plate that fits between the underneath of the seat and above the indicator and number plate bracket (tail-tidy). This plate has a hole in the centre for the wires for the indicators and number plate light to go through. Unfortunately, these wires are almost impossible to feed through the hole without dismantling the back of the bike to disconnect them (unless someone can advise otherwise), so I had to dismantle the tail-tidy to get to the wires, cut them, feed them through the metal plate from the top box bracket kit, crimp them back together and reassemble the tail-tidy before fixing everything back to the bike. This could be resolved by cutting a slot in the metal plate from the front of it to the hole in the centre (see attached picture) so the wires could be threaded through without having to cut them. I think the metal plate is thick enough to do this without impacting strength.
The second improvement would be to weld the nuts to the top of the metal plate so they are an integral feature. The reason for this is that it is very difficult to hold the nut and washer in place while inserting the bolt from below when fixing the rear of the top box bracket to the bike. There is very little space between the plate and the underside of the seat and the grab bars also get in the way. There are probably other ways to do this using pliers but I didn't have any to hand initially and I'm lazy, so having them pre-welded would help.
I would like to be able to remove the bracket completely when not using the top box and the second improvement would make this task much easier, as well as making initial installation easier.
Apart from that, I think the product is great and would recommend it.
